Abstract

Segmentation is the low-level operation in image processing which partiotions an image into disjoint and homogeneous regions. In this paper, we consider segmentation of color images, a task which plays a very important role in many multimedia applications concerned with color information. In particular, we review the main contributions in this field in the past few years.
